Born in Israel in 1982, Meytal Blanaru is a Brussels based choreographer, dancer, Feldenkrais practitioner & the founder of the FATHOM HIGH Dance Practice.

Since creating her first solo piece in 2008, Meytal has been developing a body of work that aims to apply principles from the Feldenkrais Method into dancing. Meytal’s choreographic creations have received warm reviews throughout Europe, including The Guardian and Dancing Times.
In 2022 Meytal was invited to create a piece for The Scottish Dance Theater – the national contemporary dance company of Scotland. In 2018, Meytal’s work won the CDCN Co Production award, resulting in a vast network of CDCN theaters in France that support and program the piece for the season 18/19.

Meytal is devoted to the promotion of the Feldenkrais Method within the dance field and beyond it. As a part of this initiative she regularly teaches FATHOM HIGH classes and workshops, with the aim of bringing awareness to the huge potential of Feldenkrais and neuroplasticity when applied into dancing.

She teaches regularly in different companies and schools such as Carte Blanche, The Scottish Dance Theater, Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, P.A.R.T.S , Charleroi-Danses, DanscentrumJette and other schools in Europe, Canada and Israel.

All is always rooted in the Feldenkrais Method & the FATHOM HIGH dance technique: To create, to teach, to perform – they’re all just different expressions of doing the same thing – sharing this subtle, rich, layered universe with others.
